BIMquants Lite links your bill of quantities directly to model elements — so when the model changes, your numbers stay accurate.
Features
A focused add-on that keeps your quantity database inside the project file — no external servers, no subscriptions.
Organize work into categories, then add items with code, description, unit, quantity, price, and total. Everything lives inside the project file.
Attach quantities to Archicad elements by GUID. Formula variables let you pull lengths, areas, volumes, skin data, and custom parameters directly from the model.
One command recalculates every linked quantity across the entire project. A progress dialog shows status and lets you cancel at any time.
Each linked quantity shows a colored dot — green (up to date), orange (out of date), or red (element missing) — computed in the background.
Export to a formatted XLSX workbook with a recapitulation sheet and per-category sheets. Import the same workbook to reload categories and items.
Export the full SQLite database as a plain SQL dump. Import it on any machine to restore the exact same data set.
The category total is calculated and displayed automatically as you add, edit, or delete items — always visible at a glance.
Select any element in the model to instantly see which bill-of-quantity items are linked to it. Use Goto Item to jump straight to the entry.
The quantity database is serialized inside the Archicad project file. There is nothing to sync, nothing to lose — it just works.
How It Works
A straightforward workflow that keeps quantities accurate as the design evolves.
Go to the BIMquants menu and choose Show BIMquants Lite Palette. The palette can stay open while you work.
Add categories to organise the work, then add items with code, description, unit, and unit price. Clone an existing item to speed up repetitive entries.
Select one or more elements in Archicad, then add a quantity. Pick formula variables from a popup to compute length, area, volume, skin thickness, and more.
Run Sync All Quantities from the menu to recalculate every linked value across the project. The palette refreshes automatically when done.
Export to XLSX for a formatted spreadsheet handoff, or export to SQL for a full backup. Import either format to restore your data on another machine.
Supported Element Types
Formula variables are available for all major structural and architectural element types.
